Harbour Hospice are delighted to announce the Ninth “Rock the Hithe” concert will be held on Sunday October 30.
In 2012, Christine Wykes, a patient of Hospice, had a desire to hold a fundraising concert to acknowledge the great care she had received. The rest is history, a committee was formed, musicians rounded up, a wonderful time was had, and the result far exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Chris is sadly no longer with us, but we have continued to hold this wonderful event in her honour.
The concert features a variety of wonderful artists, including the legendary Shane Hales and a number of well-known artists, and every year folk who attend comment on what a great musical event it is.
The amazing thing is that everyone donates their time. The musicians, the crew, the sound guys, the security team, even the school’s caretaker is there for the day helping out, for free! Our costs are miniscule, and what this means is that over 99% of your ticket money or donation goes to Hospice. We are proud of that.
This year we will once again be providing our very popular Reserved Tables. We’re not doing the catered tables this year, but we are doing reserved places with table service. The tables seat 8 or 10, but groups of other sizes will be able to be accommodated. These reserved tables are amazing value but they are limited. They will sell out, and they are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
